When I told my father about KM and the various solutions, his initial reaction was of utter confusion. I had to again explain to him the concept of sharing knowledge, capturing knowledge and how useful it is for the overall growth. He simply asked me, “So you are going to sell my knowledge to me?“
Sadly, that is what everyone in India feels knowledge management is all about. There is a fear that sharing our knowledge means eroding the power and responsibilities. KM is more than a tool to capture your knowledge. IIt needs to be backed with a successful sharing medium.
Its a big boon to have everyone not repeating the mistakes made by someone.
It saves time and resources if everyone follows best practices.
In a country, where majority see sharing of knowledge among employees as forbidden, we are trying to break this barrier.

I hope I understand what your company is all about. At this point of time I hope our country atleast understands how much India needs “Knowledge Management”.
We cannot afford to keep repeating our mistakes that makes us a country of idiots. We have to be more aware of our strengths and lose our weaknesses.
